RF85mm f/1.2L USM DS comes with 40years of history of Canon's 85mm f/1.2 lenses. The extreme-large-diameter single-focus lens that boast the highest quality images available in its range. Not only does it perform extremely well in low-light conditions, RF85mm f/1.2L USM DS produces amazingly smooth gradient bokeh with its Defocus Smoothing coating.

The Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR) and Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) optics within the RF85mm f/1.2L USM DS extensively suppresses chromatic aberration while the Air Sphere Coating (ASC) greatly reducing the flare and ghosting issues.

An additional control ring on the barrel that could be customised to control exposure settings; shutter speed, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation, for a more intuitive control especially while shooting through the Electronic View Finder. The control ring has a tactile, easily distinguished surface and features a clicking mechanism that provides tangible feedback during adjustment.
